Westview Youth Cheerleading was organized in 1996. Our organization has grown along with the Westview Youth Football League http://www.westviewyouthfootball.com/ and now consists of approximately 12 squads and 100 cheerleaders. We help support the Westview Youth Football League by giving our cheerleaders the opportunity to cheer at their football games and jamboree. In addition, we promote teamwork, sportsmanship, cheerleading basics, and character developement through the active participation in cheerleading. Westview Youth Cheerleading is available to all second through eighth grade students who live in the Westview High School boundaries, as well as children who live outside these limits who do not have a youth cheerleading program available to them. Westview Youth Cheerleading has gained one of the finest reputations in the Portland area due to the dedication and commitment of the athletes, coaches, parents, and other adult participants engaged in the program. Westview Youth Cheerleading is a non-profit organization, self-supporting, and all of its personnel are VOLUNTEERS. If you have an interest in volunteering in any way, we encourage you to contact our Board of Directors at wvycneta@wvyc.net. We hope to see you this coming season, go CATS!!! |
